A Must Have For Any King Fan
The book presents each of his works in chronological order up to Hansel and Gretel. Many photos and illustrations are included in each entry, often depicting the author himself in that time period. Even the most hardcore fan would find information they didn’t know, as there are special sections just for “King Addicts”. The book also goes into the various adaptions made for the screen, which is fascinating.

Even as a hardcore Constant Reader, I found plenty of fascinating details I didn’t know. It’s part literary history, part biography, part behind-the-scenes treasure trove—and an absolute goldmine for Stephen King obsessives.

I have been a King fan ever since I read Pet Semetary when I was 9 over 40 years ago. So when The Art and Craft of Stephen King popped up on Netgalley as an advanced copy I almost hurt my thumb tapping the request box so fast.
The format is fantastic and there is a plethora of information about each King book in publication order, as well as the adaptations that have been made. All without feeling like a textbook.
